Will You be Ready for ICD-10?
Implementation of ICD-10 codes will begin effective October 1, 2014.  Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) urges all practices to provide ample time for staff training and system testing for the transition to ICD-10 codes. The Lytec software you presently are using is not ICD-10 ready.  However, the next Lytec release, Lytec 2014 will be.

McKesson Corporation, the parent company of Lytec software, is offering a significant discount to practices using Lytec 2011 or earlier versions. Under the promotion, users who pre-pay for the upcoming Lytec 2014, will receive a 30% discount off the list price. While this offer by itself is very attractive, McKesson is “sweetening the pot” by offering the current release, Lytec 2013, at no additional cost!  Thus, for a 70% cost of Lytec 2014, you will receive two versions. By the next fall, all Lytec users will need to be ready for ICD-10 and will need to purchase Lytec 2014. There is no guarantee that the software prices next year will be as attractive as they now are.
